Privacy Notice
How Haven Homes Realty 2 LLC collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and the choices and rights you have over it.
Last updated October 2026
This notice explains what we do with personal information when you browse this website, enquire about a property, register an interest, or otherwise deal with Haven Homes Realty 2 LLC ("Haven Homes", "we", "us"). We have written it to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain terms.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers havenhomesrealty.org and any enquiry, viewing, offer or transaction that begins through it. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, including mapping providers, mortgage lenders, title companies and listing syndication partners, each of which operates under its own privacy notice. Where we introduce you to such a party, we will say so at the time.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Identity and contact details — name, email address, telephone number, and postal address where you provide it.
- Enquiry content — the property you asked about, your message, your stated budget, financing method, timeline, and any requirements you choose to share.
- Transaction information — where an enquiry proceeds, information necessary to progress a purchase, including proof of funds, identification documents required by anti-money-laundering rules, and correspondence with your attorney or lender.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen dimensions, and referring page.
- Usage data — pages viewed, listings opened, searches and filters applied, time on page, and the path taken through the site.
- Cookie identifiers — as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not want, information about your race, religion, national origin, familial status, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. Those characteristics are irrelevant to a property transaction and collecting them would be inconsistent with our Fair Housing obligations. If you volunteer such information in free text, we do not record it in a structured field and we do not act on it.
Where it comes from
Most personal information we hold comes directly from you. We may also receive information from a co-operating brokerage where a transaction involves one, from public records such as county registries and tax assessments, from a lender or title company with your authorisation, and from analytics services that report aggregate site usage.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange viewings.
- To progress a purchase, including satisfying identity and source-of-funds checks required by law.
- To send you listings matching criteria you have given us, where you have asked for that.
- To maintain records of our dealings, as required by real estate licensing and recordkeeping rules.
- To understand how the website is used, so that we can improve it.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to protect the security of our systems.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to decide whether to deal with you, what price to quote you, or which properties you are shown.
Why we are allowed to
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering one; compliance with a legal obligation, including anti-money-laundering and licensing requirements; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and your consent, where we have asked for it — which you may withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where there is a reason to, and only as far as that reason requires:
- Sellers and their representatives — when you make an offer, the information necessary to evaluate it. We do not pass your browsing history or unrelated enquiries.
- Co-operating brokerages and agents — where a transaction involves another firm.
- Service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics, and document execution platforms, each bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — attorneys, accountants and auditors, under duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law, court order, or a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement.
- A successor — if the business or its assets are acquired, in which case this notice continues to apply until replaced.
We do not permit any service provider to use your information for their own marketing.
Sale and sharing of personal information
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, and — only with your consent — cookies that help us understand usage and measure marketing. You control these through the banner shown on your first visit and through Cookie Settings thereafter. Declining non-essential cookies does not restrict your access to any listing or service.
Some browsers transmit a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where we detect one, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are retained for up to twenty-four months, so that we can recognise you if you return and so that we can evidence how an enquiry was handled. Transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable real estate licensing and tax rules — generally not less than six years from completion. Anti-money-laundering records are retained for five years after the relationship ends. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. When a retention period expires we delete the information or irreversibly anonymise it.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to client records is limited to personnel who need it, protected by individual credentials, and logged. Passwords are stored using salted one-way hashing, never in readable form. We apply a strict Content Security Policy, rate-limit authentication attempts, and review our dependencies for known vulnerabilities.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the timeframes the law requires.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we have used and disclosed it.
- Access a copy of it, in a portable format where feasible.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete it, except where we are required or permitted by law to keep it.
- Opt out of sale or sharing, and of targeted advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Not be retaliated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not refuse you service, charge a different price, or provide a lesser standard of service because you did.
To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before acting — usually by confirming details already held — and will respond within forty-five days, extendable once by a further forty-five days where reasonably necessary, with notice to you. An authorised agent may act for you on written authorisation.
State-specific rights
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia, among other states with comprehensive privacy statutes, have the rights described above under their state law. California residents additionally have the right under the "Shine the Light" law to request details of disclosures to third parties for direct marketing purposes; we make no such disclosures.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. Where a state provides for it, you may also complain to your state Attorney General.
Children
This site is directed at adults in the market for residential property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has provided us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will give notice on the site before it takes effect.
